Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TechNewsNest (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit technewsnest.com, how we use it and the choices you have.

Who we are

TechNewsNest is a tech news website run by Muhammad Irfan from Pakistan. For any privacy question, write to us through our Contact page.

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you pick and your message. We use these only to read and answer your message.
  • Comments: if you leave a comment, WordPress stores your name, email address, website (if you add one), your comment and your IP address. Your email address is never shown in public. A scrambled code made from your email (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture there.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting server keeps basic logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, to keep the site working and secure.

We use, or may use in the future, Google Analytics to see which pages people read and how they find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects details like your approximate location, device and browser. We don’t use it to find out who you are.

Advertising

TechNewsNest may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings and read about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll be asked for your consent before ads that use cookies are shown.

Affiliate links

Some posts may contain affiliate links. When you click one, the store may save a cookie to record that you came from TechNewsNest. Each store has its own privacy policy.

Cookies

The full list of cookies, and how to control them, is on our Cookie Policy page.

How long we keep your information

  • Contact messages: as long as we need them to reply and follow up. After that we delete them.
  • Comments: for as long as the comment stays on the site.
  • Server logs and analytics data: for the period set by our hosting and analytics providers.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We only share it with services that help run the site, such as our hosting provider, our email provider and Google (for analytics and ads, when they’re active), or with the authorities if the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Send your request through our Contact page and we’ll reply within 30 days.

Children

TechNewsNest isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Links to other websites

Our posts link to company websites and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, so check their policies when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

When we make important changes to this policy, we’ll update this page.
